This photo, taken from Lower Main Street looking up toward Main Street, was taken in 1968. It is reproduced with the kind permission of the Berry family.
You can see Clogheen’s old Post Office at the left side of the picture. It has now moved to the other end of the village.

Cant believe I found this photo. The Post Mistress in the door is Mary Sweeney, my granaunt. Her sister Johanna was my grandmother. They were originally Lonergans from the forge in Clogheen. Johanna went to work in Tramore for Gallweys where she met my grandfather Jimmy Kent. If anyone has any more pics or information, I’d really love to hear from you. triciabradfield@gmail.com
