Brian Borus News – 4th Weekend Sep 2012

Camogie

u8 and 10 teams have been very busy lately playing blitzs against Ballybacon, Cahir and taking part in County blitz’s in the Ragg. Well done to Paul and all involved with this bunch of girls.

u13s- Played quarter final against Moneygal and won convincingly on a scoreline of 7-7 to 2-1. They are now into a semi-final against Nenagh. Well done to all involved

Training continues Wednesdays 6.30 – 7.30.

Our sincere sympathies are extented to Maureen Burke on the death of her father.

 

Football

Well done to everyone who took part in the u16’s vs the mothers at Duhill Gala day. Great fun was had. Thanks to Frankie O’ Brien for refereeing and coaches Garret Byrne and Eamonn Morrisey.

Brian Borus Notes – 1st Weekend Aug 2012

Tipperary 3 – 13   Kildare 2 – 09

Well done to Maureen Murphy and Claire Walsh from our club who are part of the Tipperary U 16 County team which beat Kildare on a score line of Tipp 3 – 13  Kildare 2 – 09. Best of luck to the girls and all involved in the All Ireland Final.

Also congratulations to the Senior Football Team who defeated Moyle Rovers some weeks ago to book their place in the County Final on September 1st.

Brian Borus News – Last Weekend July 2012

Football

Congratulations to Brian Borus members Maureen Murphy and Claire Walsh who were part of the u16 Tipperary Ladies Football Team who beat Waterford in the Munster Football Final in Cahir on Sunday.

Camogie

The u13’s played two games in the last 2 weeks and have now completed the u13 league. They beat Knockavilla and Fethard and are now into a quarter final. Great credit is due to the team and management, the girls are improving in every game.

Brian Borus News – 3rd Weekend June 2012

Football

The U12 County Final will be held on Wednesday next, June 27th 2012 at 7.30pm. It is very important that the girls have good support for the final.

The County Semi-Final was played at home in Ballylooby. The girls had great support which provided great encouragement to the team.

U14 League

Arravale Rovers 0 – 0  Brian Borus 1 – 2

A great display from the girls on Friday last in Tipperary against Arravale Rovers. The next match is at home against Carrick on Suir on Thursday.

Congratulations to Ciara Hickey who was chosen to play in the Primary Game at the Munster Senior Hurling Semi-Final between Cork and Tipperary on June 24th.

Brian Borus League Champions 2012Brian Borus – 2012 League Champions

Congratulations to the Brian Borus Ladies football team who won the Frank O’Brien Tipperary Senior League Trophy on Thursday evening in Bansha against age old rivals, Cappawhite.

This is the ideal filip for the girls as they face into the 2012 Championship season.

Well done to everybody involved for a well earned victory to start off what will, hopefully, a very successful 2012 season.

Brian Borus vs Cappawhite – Senior League Final – May 17th 2012

Six clubs were involved in playing a round robin in this football league. Brian Borus and Cappawhite renew a long time rivalry, having qualified for the Senior/Intermediate league football final.

The game will be played this coming Thursday, May 17th at 7.00pm in Bansha.

The players would welcome all support on the evening in question.

Training is now taking place in the GAA pitch in Ballylooby on Tuesdays.

U14

Our u14s played Cashel last friday night. This was a very strong cashel team and our girls first game of the championship. Unfortunatley the cashel team proved to be too strong for our girls.

Go Games at the Ragg

Well done to Linda Murphy and Caoimhe Ryan who played in the Go Games in the Ragg last Sunday at half time of Senior Camogie game between Tipperary and Wexford.

Football:

U12

Our u12s played a very strong Mullinahone team last thursday night. This was our first championship game and all girls should make the effort to turn up to training if they want to progress in this championship.

U14

Our u14s played Ardfinnan on Tuesday night and had a great win. Well done girls next game is against moyle rovers.

U16

Our u16s face Aherlow in the County B Semi Final in New Inn on Sunday, April 29th. Best of luck to them.

Brian Borus News – 3rd Weekend April 2012

Camogie:

U12

Our u12s took part in their 2nd Go Games Blitz on Saturday in Moycarkey. The girls played Drom/Inch and Moycarkey, and performed really well on the day.

Team: Caoimhe Ryan, Linda Murphy, Roisin Flannery, Jane Hyland, Roisin Murray, Emma White, Rebecca Burke, Shannon Morrisey, Ciara Morrisey, Roisin Condon, Sarah Hally, Nadia Keating, Rebecca English, Allanah English. Well done to and to Kevin Ryan and Liam Murray their mentors.

Football:

U16

Our u16s played Cappawhite at home last Thursday. The girls gave an excellent team performance and came out winners on the night. They now face Aherlow in their next game.

U14

The u14s played Emly in their 1st round of the Championship and won well. They now face Ardfinnan in their next game.

U12

The u12 Championship is set to start Thursday night away to Mullinahone.

Well done to our u16s who took on Galtee Rovers in the 2nd round of the Championship. After being down a goal at half time, the girls with hard work and determination managed to come out comfortable winners when the final whistle was blown.

Training for u12s, u10s and u8s is on in Clogheen GAA pitch at 6.00pm on Thursdays. All please attend.

U12

Our u12s took part in the Munster Ladies Football Go Games blitz in Newtownshandrum on Saturday. A great day was had by all who attended. The girls played with great skill and displayed excellent team work. In our group we played Eire Og, Donoughmore, Mullinahone and Ballincollig.

Team: Linda Murphy, Emma White, Roisin Murray, Ciara Morrisey, Jane Hyland, Michaela Rossitor, Kayleigh O’ Brien, Nadia Keating and Niamh Lonergan, Roisin Flannery, Lauren O’ Brien and Chloe Enright. Team Managers: Kevin Ryan, Mary Murphy and Carmel Condon.

U16

Our u16’s started their championship last Monday, with a game against Fethard. This is a very young team and under the circumstances of various injuries the girls produced a good performance. Unfortunately Fethard were the stronger team and deserved to win on the day. Team manager Garreth Byrne is currently preparing them for their next game, so it’s important all girls attend training.

Brian Borus News 2nd Weekend March 2012

U12 Camogie

Brian Borus 2 – 0   Cahir 1 – 0

On sunday last our u 12’s took part in their first Go Game against a strong Cahir Team. This was a great sporting game between two teams who were evenly matched. In the end it was the Brian Borus girls who won the games on a scoreline 2-0 to 1-0. Team Linda Murphy(1), Roisin Murray,Roisin Flannery, Lauren OBrein, Jane Hyland,Niamh Lonergan, Sarah Hally, Roisin Condon, Shannon Morrissey(1)Ciaria Morrissey, Shauna Maher, Andrea Conway, Rebecca Burke. Well done to all the girls.

Training continues in Clogheen this Thursday evening for all age groups.

Congratulations to the girls on the Colaiste Dun Iascaigh Team who beat St. Leo’s Carlow on Thursday last in Walsh Park in the Tesco All Ireland Post Primary Schools Junior A Championship semi-final. Best of luck in the final.
