U10 Hurling
Fr. Sheehy’s played a blitz for the Clogheen festival weekend at Fr. Sheehy Park with teams from Ballylooby, Skeheenarinky and winners Rockwell Rovers.
U12 Hurling
Hard luck to the Fr. Sheehy’s u12 hurling team who bowed out of the Premier Games in a playoff against Cahir B recently. Thanks to John Flynn, Dick Maher and trainer Daniel O’ Reardon who looked after u12 hurling in 2012.
U14 Hurling
The combination u14 hurling team Fr. Sheehy’s/Newcastle have reached the championship semi-final and await the winners of a playoff between Clonmel Og and Clerihan. The team played two challenge games recently against Ballybacon and Kilsheelan. Congratulations to Fr. Sheehy’s u14 player Ben Hyland who has been selected on the Tipperary u14B hurling team to play in the Sonny Walsh tournament in Waterford on this Saturday 1st September. Ben scored 2-1 as the team beat Galway in a challenge game in Thurles last week and best of luck on Saturday!
U14 Football
Well done also to James Conway who played in goals for the Tipperary u14 football side who played a tournament in Tuam last weeekend beating Mayo West and Leitrim and going down to Mayo North.
